*Author's Note:
These are simply responses to Short Stories we read in Class. We make inferences about why certain things happened, and provide evidence. Here's a few of mine.
All Summer In A Day
*Author's Note: This is written from the point of William, the class bully and provoker for bad behavior.
I pushed her into the wall. "Speak when your spoken too!" I barked at her.
She remained silent.
"Get away!"
Silence.
I couldn't take it. The other kids couldn't take it. No one could take it. So we locked her away. Until she came out lifeless, and gone.
Response to *Forgot Title (About Milkman)*
I think that Pierre probably got hit by the truck on purpose. The fact that if he had been blind, and was delivering milk without a problem, makes me think that he tried to get hit. He probably would have heard it too, anyway, and this was probably because of the fact that he was so sad after Joseph died.
Casey at the Bat
I think that Casey was over confident in himself. As a result, this caused the people to be confident in his every choice, and this only fueled his arrogance more. Because of this, he decided to let the perfectly fine opportunities to hit roll away, which in the end caused them to lose.
